Welcome to Workington Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhireworkington.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Workington Rental

All vehicle rentals through Workington are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement supplied with your booking confirmation or presented at vehicle collection. This document sets out specific terms, conditions, insurance cover, applicable charges, and your responsibilities for that rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence.

2. Workington Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Workington, you must:

Be at least 21 years old (age limits may differ by vehicle type, and additional charges may apply for drivers under 25). Hold a current full driving licence valid for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide acceptable photo identification, proof of address and a payment card in the driver’s name, as required by Workington rental policy.

3. Workington Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Workington office. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Workington

At collection from Workington, inspect the vehicle carefully and report any pre-existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by you and a Workington representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, subject to normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and charged to the hirer in accordance with Workington policy.

5. Insurance and Liability (Workington)

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Workington rentals. Full policy terms and any excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional cover options may be offered to lower your potential financial exposure. Please review these options and terms carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes (Workington)

Cancellation and amendment policies differ by booking type and notice period. Please consult your Workington booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the applicable terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Workington Restrictions

You must not use the Workington vehicle for:

Any activity that contravenes criminal or civil law. Organized racing, rallying, off-road competitions, or other high-risk driving. Carrying explosive, flammable, toxic, or otherwise dangerous goods. Sub-letting, sub-hire, or permitting use by persons not authorised by Workington. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicants. Any use that exceeds the vehicle's intended design or manufacturer limitations...

Violating Workington rules may result in immediate rental termination and extra charges.

8. Limitation of Liability — Workington

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Workington Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid for the service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law — Workington

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales and will be heard in Workington.

10. Changes to Workington Terms

Workington may modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect immediately upon posting on the Workington website. Continued use of Workington services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
